We spearheaded a thorough renewal of the access control system for the University of Lapland, a process which involved specifying technical and functional requirements, preparing tender documents, and performing qualitative comparisons of suppliers and their proposed systems. We also developed a system integration description, facilitating automatic user data transfer from Active Directory straight to the access control. This feature enhances security management by automatically deactivating the access rights of departing users.
The resultant time-efficiency in access control and streamlined procurement process significantly enhanced the University's operations. During the procurement phase, we successfully compared offerings from various providers, ensuring compliance with procurement law in terms of system features and pricing. We also incorporated bespoke data security and data protection requirements for the systems.
We facilitated the renewal of access control, video surveillance, and alarm systems for a multinational technology corporation, working closely with the client's security and property management team. The renewal process entailed precise definition of global key requirements for systems, functionalities, and integrations. Throughout the tender request phase, we compared four systems and over ten system suppliers, leading to the selection of the most suitable system for a global environment. We supervised the renewal work and were accountable for the acceptance inspections of the system's end devices in Finland. We also contributed to the definition work concerning server solution interfaces.
For a city in Central Finland, we undertook an access control system renewal that included seamless integration with a room reservation system. This integration allows city residents to use mobile access control for flexible access to the city's reservable spaces during individually booked times. In this project, we were involved in defining requirements, managed the project, and conducted the systems' acceptance inspections on behalf of the client.

We conducted a Security, Health, Safety, and Environment audit for a major data center in Finland. The audit involved defining the scope, conducting the audit visit, and producing an audit report highlighting major and minor nonconformities as well as opportunities for improvement. The client implemented a significant portion of the audit recommendations, ensuring compliance with local regulations and reducing risks associated with health and safety issues and security incidents.
